Never really thought I'd bicycle in Vancouver. Never really thought I'd use that bike strip down Burrard. Never really thought I'd ride through downtown at night in a dark jacket and no reflective pads. I'm going cycling with Andy and Jay tomorrow. I'm not going to last very long. 🙂
Sun Run 2011
So. I totally did the Sun Run this morning (or "walk", in my case). And I actually did better than I expected: Official time 1:48:28 KM Pace 10:51 per klick Considering that this time I didn't even try to run, I'm surprizingly pleased. It's faster than my previous two tries, which were both just over … Continue reading Sun Run 2011
Shaenon Garrity Rocks My Socks
It took me years to throw out the packaging because the drawings on it were so awesome. ❤ Narbonic.
Three months on Mobilicity…
... and I'm reasonably happy. Mobilicity Telus ~$46 a month ~$68 a month Unlimited data, which I'm totally using on my shiny new phone Data extra Unlimited voice Limited number of minutes, then extra charges. Especially for long distance. If it weren't for skype... Tiny service area (which, fortunately, I rarely leave) Huge service area … Continue reading Three months on Mobilicity…
Weekend
Left work a bit lost on Friday. Took the seabus to the north shore, then back, and eventually made my way home. Did some mad-crazy grocery shopping, and called it a day. Saturday: slept in a little, played some DQ9. Then off to Gavin's apartment for the rest of the day. Good times were had … Continue reading Weekend
Great day

Went for lunch with some friends, including an ex-coworker I haven't seen since last year. Beer! Played some D&D again, for the first time in a month. Introduced a friend … Continue reading Great day

Wii Homebrew
Note: Written last Saturday. I have a few minutes to kill before I can go to bed, so... bloggery. I was supposed to go Christmas shopping today. Instead, I soft-modded my Wii (as per the instructions at WiiBrew). I did four things: Started up HackMii via the Smash Stack exploit. Installed the Homebrew Channel. Installed … Continue reading Wii Homebrew
Snowcouver!
It was briefly snowy in Vancouver -- even in the West End! It started disappearing that afternoon, but... rad!
